BILL’S EMPTY SALES PITCH TO NEWCASTLE STEEL WORKERS
Opposition leader Bill Shorten is in Newcastle today to make a Labor sales pitch to disgruntled steel workers.
We’re not sure how well it will go when Bill is trying to spruik how much Australian workers have “benefited a great deal from increased global trade” with countries like China and stating “local producers and businesses are getting the benefits of open markets” while Australia is being product dumped with inferior steel and building products containing asbestos. This from a man who back in April this year was claiming to have a “nationalistic vison” when it came to steel.
Nationalistic vision? He was obviously just being sarcastic at the time because Bill’s record along with the Labor party couldn’t be any further from a nationalistic standpoint than an astronaut is from earth.
Labor support programs such as mass immigration of 457 visa workers & the third world to replace Australian workers. They openly support the removal of regulatory protectionism such as tariffs and the implementing of free trade agreements that destroy Australian industry. They offer no resistance and encourage the spread of Chinese imperialism and foreign ownership of Australian economic and strategic interests.
Once again they express sentiments to appeal to their traditional voter base only when they are in opposition. They know the fate of thousands of real Aussie workers will have been sealed by the time they reach government if at all. You can hear the rhetoric already “Sorry boys and girls it was the previous government’s failure”.
The community should remember that Labor governments have done no favours for working class Australians as Rudd & Gillard went off flying around the world selling out the nation every way & that way.
Labour must not be trusted.
In the meantime, why we witness the unstoppable rise of the Australian people along with the only true nationalist party in this county Australia First, we will hope no poorly made skyscrapers made with substandard foreign steel collapse in the third world enclaves labour has help create in this nation.
