We publish an edited ( for length ) contribution to Your Say: Daily Telegraph 23.6.10
Regarding the situation in Afghanistan, one must wonder what is the real reason behind the exercise ? Whilst everyone wants to talk about this being a conflict over democracy, it is really a conflict over economics.
At the present time the big winner in this conflict-regardless of whether the Taliban or the present Afghani Government gains control-is China. But wait, you might say the Chinese are not fighting there. True, but they have an investment and don't really care who wins.
Afghanistan has one of the world's richest sources of untapped mineral resources. Earlier this year, China paid $3 billion as a down payment for the copper mining rights with a promise to provide road and rail infrastructure and electricity generation to the mining areas, regardless of who were the victors of the "war".
In the meantime, the Afghan Government is sponsoring the biggest mineral sale this decade. So what is Australia really getting out of it all ? Not very much. Maybe a little bit of prestige for being there and of course, a bill for $1 billion a year.
If our young men and women are losing their lives as part of this agenda, we should be sending all the Afghani "asylum-seekers" ariving on our shores back to Afghanistan to fight their own "war". Let's bring the Australians home and leave the place to whoever wants it, like say the Chinese!
We see a more sinister agenda at play here, cleverly orchestrated by the globalists. This is merely the tip of the iceberg and the begining of the one world government, where increasingly we see the elite few in control of the worlds resources, such as the minerals, the food supply and so on. Enter the United Nations and world dominance.
As nationalists we must remain on high alert and resist these vile traitors and fight to retain our sovereignty and regain our independence before it is to late!
